Faith and Works in Tandem

Questions Caused by this Passage:
Is my faith enough to save me?
Do I have to do anything else?
Romans 10:9-10
9 because if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. 10 For with the heart one believes and thus has righteousness and with the mouth one confesses and thus has salvation. NET
Believe and Faith are really close in meaning.
Are works going to get me into heaven?
Ephesians 2:8-9
8 For by grace you are saved through faith, and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God; 9 it is not from works, so that no one can boast.
Are works really that important?
Practical Action Steps Toward Maturity:
- Faith and Works are tied together.
- Faith is first and is the driver to good works.
- Good works are a natural result of a true “faith saving” follower of Jesus.
